My AHA Moment !
I had the privilege of speaking with about 200 5th and 6th graders a few years ago. We were at their school volunteering for a week. A 12-year-old girl asked me why was I there helping? I said because I love Israel. When the assembly was over, she walked up to me and asked did you say you love Israel because you are here, or do you really love us? She turned and screamed to all the other students that she really loves us.
They cheered as someone here in the U.S. would do at a ball game. Later that night the principal invited us to coffee and dessert. She asked me did I understand why the children got so excited because I said I loved them; I answered not really. She told me most of their grandparents were Holocaust survivors and they raised their parents saying the world hates us and it’s just a matter of time before they will turn on us again.
My heart sank thinking that a child grew up thinking they were hated because of the DNA. That week forever changed how I saw Israel and the struggle and hatred the Jewish people endured. Still today, even here in American a lot of the time. Serenity supports Israel because our Savior is Jewish and every word in the Bible was written by a Jew.
Without our Jewish Savior and His Grace where would we be? Gentiles were grafted in ROMANS 11:11-24
